The UCI Careeer Center has a new Graduate Student Career Consultant ready to help with your job search needs

Dear Graduate Students,

My name is Christine Kelly and I’m the new Graduate Student Consultant here at UCI’s Career Center.  My role is to facilitate the job search process for you. I’d like to give you a little bit of background about myself and a brief explanation of what I can do for you. 

I received my Ph.D. in Communication from Purdue University in 1991.  Since then I have held full and part time positions at both large and small Universities and Colleges.  My most recent appointment was at a small liberal arts college in Ohio.  I also have 20 years experience teaching public speaking and interviewing skills, so I can help you hone your presentation skills and give a strong performance during your interview.

I know from personal experience the challenges you face preparing for and entering both the academic and non-academicjob market.  I offer a vareity of workshops designed to help you become the strongest candidate you can be.  You can also make an individual appointment with me to get a CV, resume or cover letter critique, do a practice interview or discuss how to navagate the job search process.
