Resolution 06-15 – Goals for the Anthill Pub and Grill

WHEREAS AGS
has discussed and voted on the following list of goals for the Anthill Pub and
Grill,
LET IT THEREFORE BE RESOLVED
1.
The pub should supplement AGS budget by at least 8% of gross sales a year for
the first two years and to be renegotiated there after.
2. The pub needs to be run as a partnership with AGS, and the
contractor must be responsive to AGS input.
3. AGS reserves the right to use the pub space for non-retail events
(such as grad student parties) at least six times a year.
4. Because of the need for the pub to be responsive to student
concerns AGS and the inherent value of competitiveness for food
service on campus, AGS prefers considering small businesses for the
partnership.
5. The pub needs to remain a pub with affordable, quality food.
However, it should not become a restaurant with a good beer selection.
6. The pub should preferentially hire graduate students as bartenders
and other positions.
7. The pub should strive to remain a separate entity from any and all
official UCI entities.
8. The pub should maintain a good selection of micro-brew beers.
