Bill 09-65 Fund Graduate Student T-Shirts and Transportation to the Susan G. Komen “Race for the Cure”

Whereas the Associated Graduate Students (AGS) aim to bring students together in a variety of activities, and
Whereas 40 graduate students will be attending the Susan G. Komen ‘Race for the Cure,’ a walk to raise awareness of and end breast cancer, and
Whereas publicizing graduate student community efforts and social events is an important goal for AGS, and
Whereas arranging transportation and having all graduate students arrive and leave in unison will aid in event organization and publicity opportunities, and
Whereas this year’s race will be held on September 27, 2009 in Newport Beach,
Let it therefore be resolved that AGS allocate $714.80, $433.20 for t-shirts from the Publicity Budget and $281.60 for transportation from the Special Projects budget to pay for grad student event t-shirts and transportation.
