Resolution 09-69 Remove Non-Attending Council Members
Sponsored by:  Chris Dunckle, Physical Sciences Representative and VP Admin
on behalf of:   AGS Council
Date of Presentation: 09-29-09

Whereas in the AGS Bylaws, Section H of Membership Provisions “Newly elected officers are required to attend the first AGS meeting after elections in order to claim their seats.” …. “Any council seat not taken by the first meeting of the Fall Quarter will be considered vacant.”

Whereas Article III Section 1 of the AGS Constitution defines quorum as “the smallest number of Council members greater than fifty percent of the number of sitting Council members” and the non-attendance of Council seat-holders may affect the ability of AGS Council to meet quorum,

Let it therefore be resolved that the seats reserved for Zachary Allera and Lee Busse from the School of Business, Elizabeth Montalvo from the School of Physical Sciences and Ian Tigen from the School of Social Ecology  be considered vacant.
