 WHEREAS Article IV Section 2 Part c of the AGS Constitution states that “AGS Council has the authority to create Staff positions and make appointments to these positions,” and

 

 WHEREAS in previous years AGS Council created the position of Campus Organizing Director (COD) in order to facilitate communication between AGS Council and UCI graduate student organizations, and

 

 WHEREAS AGS Council approved to continue to finance the COD staff position through account number 6012-9022 Stipend Campus Org. Dir., and

 

WHEREAS the Vice President of Internal Affairs solicited applications for the COD position from September 5, 2009-September 25, 2009, and

 

WHEREAS Executives reviewed and ranked applicants anonymously based on attached criteria, and

 

WHEREAS Executives consecutively concur that Daniel Gascon ranked highest among applicants and is best suited for this position based in his/her previous experience serving in student organizations, outstanding ability to communicate with others, and eagerness to become more involved in AGS and UCI graduate student life,

 

 LET IT THEREFORE BE RESOLVED that AGS Council appoint Daniel Gasconto serve as Campus Organizing Director for the 2009-2010 Academic Year based on the recommendation of AGS Executives.
