The Vice President of Internal Affairs for 2008-2009 is Annessa Stagner

The Vice President of Internal Affairs (VP Internal) represents the AGS on all internal graduate student bodies. The VP Internal represents graduate student interests to parties internal to the campus, notably housing and the graduate health insurance program (GSHIP).

The VP Internal assumes the powers of the President should the President be unavailable or have resigned.

The duties of the VP Internal include, but are not limited to:

• Liaison with the ASUCI (Associated Students of UCI), AMS (Associated Medical Students), MSA (Merage Students Association), PVRC and VRC (Palo Verde and Verano Residents Councils) and all UCI groups that affect graduate students' needs and rights.
• Propose legislation in response to other groups' actions.
• Coordinate AGS entertainment and cultural activities.
• Oversee the activities of the Campus Organizing Director and GSHIP Chair.
• Chairing the Internal Committee; oversight of the Social Committee.
