Organization of AGS

by Patricia Lee last modified 2007-02-15 09:35

The Council is composed of representatives from each of the academic units on campus. The number of representatives each gets is determined by the Spring Quarter head counts done by the University. The Council also has an Executive Board made up of the AGS President and four Council Officers (Vice Presidents). The AGS President may not concurrently represent an academic unit on the Council. Council Officers may concurrently hold positions representing academic units. The members of the Executive Board are provided a token stipend for their involvement in Council. The President is elected by the AGS body as a whole in the Spring election. The incoming Council members elect the Council Officers at the appropriate June meeting. There are also various staff positions in AGS, including a professional office staff that we share with ASUCI and two special staff positions known as the Campus Organizing Director and the Campus Communications Officers.
