The Vice President of External Affairs position

The Vice President of External Affairs (VP External) represents the AGS to all external organizations where the President does not represent the AGS.
The VP External assumes the office of the President if all other officers are unavailable or have resigned.
The duties of the VP External include, but are not limited to:
- Represent the AGS to all external organizations including UCSA.
- Seek information about policies from external organizations that may affect graduate student interests.
- Promote graduate student interests among external organizations.
- Report on State and Federal legislation that affects graduate student interests. Recommend appropriate action to be taken by the Council.
- Assist with external outreach.
Oversee the activities of the Legislative Liason.
