1. 	Selid Holt -- Pleaded guilty to abusing own children. Later
alleged to be in a sex ring.  Wife turned him in, said he was abusing
his daughter.


2. 	Laura Holt -- Pleaded guilty to abusing own children. Later
alleged to be in a sex ring.  Alford plea (no contest).  Signed
confession. Now says Perez coerced her and has recanted.  The
allegations that she was abusing her daughter and son came up after
the father was charged and the kids were placed in counseling.
Documents suggest that Laura Holt was the first one to suggest
that a third party had abused her daughter, and that she thought
that would make authorities go easier on Selid.


3. 	Merideth Town -- Pleaded guilty to abusing own children.
Later alleged to be in a sex ring. Wife made allegations against him
in midst of divorce.  Sons who supposedly gave statements against
him are mentally handicapped and now institutionalized.  Police
have alleged that the mother turned in the father because he was
seeing another woman, which somehow went against the rules of
the sex ring.


4.	Cherie Town --  Pleaded guilty to abusing own children. Later
alleged to be in a sex ring.  Alford plea.  Made a confession. 
Testified against Michael Rose.


5. 	Harold Everett -- Pleaded guilty to abusing own children.
Later alleged to be in a sex ring. Alford plea (no contest). Illiterate.
Was told his wife was going to testify against him.  His daughters
became the main accusers in sex ring.  His oldest son says no sx
ring ever happened in the home.


6. 	Idella Everett -- Pleaded guilty to abusing own children. Later
alleged to be in a sex ring. Alford plea (no contest). IQ of 68.  Has
since recanted her confession and refused to testify against anyone.


7. 	Jerome Buckley -- accused of sex ring offenses, dismissed.


8. 	Michael Rose -- accused of sex ring offenses, found guilty at
trial. Was roommate of Town family.  Does not file appeal.


9. 	Dorris Green -- accused of sex ring offenses, found guilty.
Appeal pending.  Gave confession, and later recanted.


10. 	Randall Reed -- accused of sex ring offenses, pleads guilty.
Says he has liver damage so can't remember anything, but says "no
contest."


11. 	Leo Catcheway -- accused of sex ring offenses, pleads guilty
to raping one girl.  Said to be photographer, but no pictures are
ever found. Gives confession, recants.  Does not testify against
anyone else.


12. 	Gary Filbeck -- accused of sex ring offenses, pleads guilty.
Low IQ.  Previous conviction for sex abuse. Gives confession, says
Pastor had sex with kids in front of congregation. Agrees to testify
in exchange for dramatically reduced sentence.


13. 	Sharl Ann Filbeck -- accused of sex ring offenses, pleads
guilty.  Gives confession, recants, says coerced. Low IQ.


14. 	Sadie Hughes -- accused of sex ring offenses, pleads guilty.
Gives confession, recants.  Low IQ.


15. 	Alan Hughes -- found guilty of sex crime against one of the
victims in 1993, later alleged to be in sex ring. Victim later tells
identical story about Pastor Roberson.


16. 	Linda Miller -- found guilty of sex ring offenses.  Confessed,
recanted. Her two daughters become main sex ring accusers.


17. 	Larry Steinborn -- accused of sex ring offenses, dismissed in
plea bargain, but goes to prison on prior sex abuse charge.  Prior
charge was made by same victim, daughter of Linda Miller, during
a divorce dispute.


18. 	Donna Hidalgo -- pleads guilty to incest in plea bargain to get
short sentence. Denies that there was sex ring or that she abused
anyone.


19. 	Manuel Hidalgo Rodriguez --  accused of sex ring charges,
convicted.  Cannot speak English.  The charge he was convicted of
was only formally filed the day before his trial.  His public defender
took job in prosecutors office three weeks later.


20. 	Kerri Knowles -- awaiting trial on sex ring charges.


21. 	Susan Everett -- pleads guilty to lessor offense of
communicating with a minor for immoral purposes.  Released from
jail after serving about two months.


22. 	Karen Lopez -- charges dismissed.


23.  	Barb Garaas -- pleads guilty (Alford plea) to intrafamilial sex
abuse charges.  Tied to sex ring by stories of Everett girls, then
Garass children are siezed, and after a month of counseling begin to
tell stories about their parents.  Lived across street from Everett
family.


24.  	Ralph Gausvik -- Convicted at trial of intrafamilial sex abuse. 
His son testifies that his mother also put her penis inside him. Tied
to sex ring by stories of Everett girls, then Garass children are
siezed, and after a month of counseling begin to tell stories about
their parents.  Lived across street from Everett family.


25.  	Honna Sims -- accused of sex ring charges, found innocent at
trial.


26.  	Robert Roberson -- accused of sex ring charges, found
innocent at trial.


27.  	Connie Roberson -- accused of sex ring charges, found
innocent at trial.


28.  	Bill Davis -- accused of sex ring charges, dismissed.


29.  	Bob Duquette -- convicted of unrelated sex abuse charges,
later named in sex ring. Said in one account to the the leader of "the
circle."


30.  	Donna Rodriguez -- accused of sex ring charges, dismissed.


31.  	Bob Devereaux -- accused of sex ring charges, dismissed.
Pleads guilty to spanking child and telling someone they were to be
arrested.


32.  	Tracy Hockett -- accused of molesting alleged sex ring
victims, during same time period in the same house. Foster child of
Devereaux. Found innocent in juvenile court.


33.  	Jeannie Bendt -- accused of sex ring charges, pleaded guilty. 
She called CPS for help. Police allege a four-person sex ring, the
forgotten ring in Wenatchee. Three people are arrested for
molesting the same child.  Unrelated to other sex rings.


34.  	Kathryn Lancaster -- accused of sex ring charges, dismissed.


35.  	Norberto Macias -- accused of sex ring charges, dismissed.


36.  	Pam Kimble -- accused of sex ring charges, jailed but never
formally charged.


37.  	Ed Knowles Jr. -- accused of sex ring charges, jailed but
never formally charged.


38.  	Ed Knowles Sr. -- accused of sex ring charges, jailed but
never formally charged.


39.  	Abel Fonseca Lopez -- convicted of sex abuse charges for
molesting the central victim in 1992, during the supposed time of
the sex ring.  Happened outside, by a convenience store. Victim
complained of pain in her groin, said two other kids hit her with
stick. Later named Lopez. Sex ring was never mentioned by victim.


40.  	Carol Doggett -- convicted of intrafamilial sex abuse.  They
reported problem of son molesting his sister, then police accuse
them of molesting all the children in family.  Youngest daugher
recovers memory in therapy, just before trial. Documents from
psychiatric hospital where Sarah Doggett was sent say that
Wenatchee authorities told the hospital that she was a
victim of a sex ring.


41.  	Mark Doggett -- same.  
	(Note:  the medical report which we obtained regarding the
Doggetts shows that the Wenatchee "authorities" allege the
Doggett family was involved with another family in the same
neighborhood, and that the hospital had treated another girl from
the same neighborhood about which the same things were said.  A
girl from yet another family was treated at that hospital, too, but
documents have not yet been released that would make the
connection to her family. This would be the fourth Wenatchee sex
ring.)

Interesting Facts

All four sex rings were "discovered" since Detective Robert Perez took over the investigation of such crimes. Some of the suspects were arrested by other officers, but they were never connected to the sex rings by Detective Perez. In fact, during prosecutions, no connection to any "sex-ring" was ever found.
