For graduate and professional students in the UC system, development programs and career services vary widely across campuses. As a result, the reach and effectiveness of these programs are unclear and inconsistent across the system. At a time when many graduate and professional students are finding themselves underemployed or entirely unemployed after receiving their degrees, a thorough evaluation of UC programs available is required.
The UCSA Jobs! campaign will first establish a clear and standardized means of evaluating the effectiveness of professional development programs on each UC campus, then ensure that these resources and best practices are available to graduate and professional students pursuing both academic and non-academic careers.
