AGS Council Legislation 

Bill 16-41 Appointment of AGS Staff: Legislative Director

WHEREAS the AGS Constitution Article IV. Section 2c. states that AGS Council has the authority to create Staff positions and make appointments to these positions,

WHEREAS staff members facilitate AGS Council's ability to function both within and outside of campus,

WHEREAS additional representation on behalf of AGS and the interests of its constituents is required at UC organizations such as UCSA,

WHEREAS additional representation on behalf of AGS and the interests of its constituents is required at national conferences such as the NAGPS and SAGE meetings,

WHEREAS additional representation on behalf of AGS and the interests of its constituents is required at the local and state level,

WHEREAS the design, planning, and implementation of AGS programs and services require extensive management and oversight,

WHEREAS the AGS Officers have deemed the Legislative Director position necessary in the oversight of the AGS External Committee and its business,

LET IT THEREFORE BE RESOLVED that AGS employ Rebecca Grady as the Legislative Director,

LET IT FURTHER BE RESOLVED that AGS pay Rebecca Grady $200 per month from October 2016 to June 2017.
