Resolution 17-27 To Approve New AGS Council Members

WHEREAS AGS functions best when all graduate students are represented;

WHEREAS the AGS Bylaws states “the Executive Council is empowered to appoint a graduate student to a vacant seat only in the event that there are no second place candidates in the prior election, or where those persons decline the opportunity to serve.” in Membership Provisions, Sec. G;

WHEREAS the succeeding AGS members have demonstrated commitment by meeting attendance;

WHEREAS the School of Social Ecology has a vacant council seat available;

WHEREAS the School of Humanities has a vacant council seat  available;

WHEREAS the School of Information and Computer Sciences has a vacant council seat available;

LET IT BE RESOLVED that Eduardo Alencar is appointed as a new council member representing the School of Social Ecology;

LET IT ALSO BE RESOLVED that Sara Newsome is appointed as a new council member representing the School of Humanities;

LET IT ALSO BE RESOLVED that Shreya Chippagiri is appointed as a new council member representing the School of Information and Computer Sciences.
