IV. Executive Reports:
a. President (5)
i. Housing Rates going up by slightly 3% for grads, a little more than originally projected but not a huge differences
ii. UC-wide search for Student Regent, decision in May
iii. 551 is target for new grad students for next year
b. VP Internal (2)
i. TAs now mandatory reporters on sexual violence – We have some issues with that because it’s possible that this could decrease reporting. Grad students also uncomfortable with bearing this responsibility. Not sure that training has been adequate.
ii. Mental Health Trivia Night at the Pub will be during Happy Grad
iii. Are TA and GSR stipends increasing? – Not standardized, departments don’t have to increase for inflation. So we can take a look at how even it’s been across departments.
c. VP External (2)
i. Student Lobby Conference last weekend: It was successful with four AGS reps and more undergraduates from UCI lobbying OC politicians.
d. VP Social (2)
i. Wine Tasting was awesome
ii. Next events are Angels baseball game, Spring Fling (contact Shantell if you can help design a backdrop for the photobooth)
