VI. New business
Kate – Student Center Board: They are interested in focusing on big events, which could be good for AGS. Cross Cultural Center is opening a Women’s Center (Dub Club) with lots of programming. Grand opening will be in November. Student Center is also interested in preserving study spaces throughout the Center.
Connor – Ongoing series of discussions about free speech at UCI and on campuses in general (President Napolitano’s recent op-ed piece in NY Times, . It doesn’t seem like grad students have engaged in this nationally or here. Is this something that we’d like to engage in as a representative body? I’d be happy to make some sort of movement to voice our thoughts.
